MEND signs up to the Responsibility Deal

MEND has agreed to honour a set of core commitments and supporting pledges after signing up to the government’s Responsibility Deal.

MEND has supported the Responsibility Deal since it was set up by the Department of Health in March 2010 to encourage businesses and other organisations to use their influence to improve public health in England.

By becoming a Responsibility Deal partner, MEND is showing that it is committed to improving public health and acting responsibly as a business.  The core commitments are as follows:

ii. We will encourage and enable people to adopt a healthier diet.

iii. We will foster a culture of responsible drinking, which will help people to drink within guidelines

iv. We will encourage and assist people to become more physically active

v. We will actively support our workforce to lead healthier lives
